Will my online sessions be private and confidential?

Your therapist will always be located in a private office with a closed door to protect your confidentiality. Unique You Counseling strongly recommends clients find a private space where they feel comfortable talking. Wearing headphones can also enhance the online therapy experience and better ensure privacy.

What platform does Unique You Counseling use for online therapy?

We use TheraNest, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform designed for therapists. Sessions include video and audio, and are private, confidential and never recorded.

What will I need for online therapy?

Clients will need a computer, tablet or smartphone for online therapy. We may occasionally encounter electronic delays, glitches, or wifi failures. We will always have a backup plan in place to ensure sessions occur.

Can we work together if I live in another city or state?

Yes. Unique You Counseling is currently licensed in the states of Colorado and Texas. We can meet with clients located in either state.

Why do you have an online counseling practice?

Unique You Counseling transitioned to a fully telehealth practice at the start of Covid-19 to ensure the safety of its clients. We found that telehealth was just as effective as in-office therapy, as many research studies have shown. Telehealth allows us to connect from anywhere, securely and conveniently.
